يتعرض هذا البحث لتفسير سورة شريفة من سور القرآن الکريم التي صغر حجمها، وقصر مبناها، لکن عظم معناها، وهي سورة البلد، حيث يکشف البحث عن بعض أسرار تلک السورة وأنوارها، من خلال التفسير التحليلي لآياتها ويتکون البحث من مقدمة، وتمهيد، ومقصد، وخاتمة.
أما المقدمة: ففيها بيان أهمية الموضوع، وأسباب اختياره، وخطة البحث، ومنهجه.
وأما التمهيد: ففيه دراسةٌ عامة عن سورة البلد، من حيث اسمها، وعدد آياتها، وکلماتها وحروفها، وترتيبها، ونوعها، وتحقيق القول فيما ورد في فضلها، والمناسبة بينها وبين ما قبلها، وبيان الأغراض والمقاصد التي اشتملت عليها.
وأما المقصد: فيشتمل على التفسير التحليلي لسورة البلد، ويتضمن خمسة مطالب هي:
المطلب الأول:التنويه بشأن البلد الحرام، وبيان حال الإنسان في هذه الدنيا.
المطلب الثاني: بعض الأخلاق المذمومة في الإنسان.
المطلب الثالث:تعداد نعم الله ـ عز وجل ـ على الإنسان.
المطلب الرابع:تهويل شأن العقبة وبيان کيفية النجاة منها.
المطلب الخامس:بيان مصير الکفار الأشقياء.
     وأما الخاتمة فتشتمل على الدروس المستفادة من السورة الکريمة.
     وذيلت البحث بفهرس للمصادر والمراجع، وفهرس للموضوعات.
 Abstract:
The present research handles the exegesis of a noble Surah, though small and short. Its great meaning, still, reveals some of the secrets of that surah and its lights. Analytic exegesis of its verses shows this. The paper consists of an introduction, a preface, aim, and a conclusion.
The introduction shows the importance of the topic, its rationale, the research plan and its method. It contains a general study on Surat Al-Balad, in terms of its name, number of verses, words, letters, arrangement, type, realization of its merit, harmony between it and preceding chapter, statement of its purposes.
The aim is the analytical exegesis of Surat Al-Balad,  including five topics:
Topic one discusses the forbidden town and state of man in this world.
Topic two states some of man's ugly morals.
Topic three enumerates the boons of God on man.
Topic four states the exaggeration of the plight and the way to escape from it.
Topic five explains the fate of the wretched unbelievers.
The conclusion includes lessons learned from the Holy Surah.The research was appended with an index of sources, references and index of topics.
