يتناول البحث سيرة إمام من أئمة النقد في علم الحديث، ويبرز مکانته العلمية في هذا العلم، هذا الإمام هو الحافظ أبو بکر أحمد بن عمرو البزار (ت 292هـ)، والذي يعرف بمسنده الکبير المعلل، وأهم ما يميز هذا البحث هو الإضافات المهمة في سرد مؤلفات البزار، ومحاولة حصرها، والاجتهاد کذلک في جمع کل من أقف عليه من تلامذته، وکذا تحرير العبارات التي قيلت فيه (تعديلًا وجرحًا)، مع جمع ما تفرق من ترجمته عند عامة من ترجم له، وبيان ما کان بينه وبين الإمام النسائي، ثم جمع عبارات البزار في الجرح والتعديل التي وردت في مسنده.
 Abstract:
The research deals with the biography of an imam from the imams of criticism in the science of hadith, and highlights his scientific position in this science, this imam is Al-Hafiz Abu Bakr Ahmed bin Amr Al-Bazzar (d. 292 AH), who is known for his great and Mua'ellel Musnad.
The most important characteristic of this research is the important additions in the narration of Al-Bazzar's books, and trying to Restrict it, And diligence as well in the collection of his students, and editing the phrases that were said in it (amendment and wound), with collect what is dispersed in Studies that reviewed his scientific Biography and an explanation of what was between him and Imam Al-Nnassa'i then collecting Al-Bazzar phrases In the wound and amendment that mentioned in his  (Almosnad).
