هذا البحث يتحدث عن المحدِّثين الذين امتنعوا عن التحديث حتى وفاتهم؛ وکان امتناعهم لعدة أسباب ذاتية خاصة، کالتورع، والانشغال بالعبادة، واحتراق کتبهم، والإحساس بالتغير، والاختلاط والمرض، وأسباب أخرى خارجة عن إرادتهم من غيرهم، کالحسد، والإکراه على الامتناع عن التحديث.
 واتضح لي من خلال نماذج الممتنعين عن التحديث حتى وفاتهم؛ قد يکون سببه الانقطاع والاشتغال بالعبادة، وهذا يکون في آخر حياتهم.
 وهذا البحث تتمة لبحث سابق هو (من امتنع عن التحديث ثم رجع من المحدِّثين)، ولذا أتبعته بهذا البحث؛ ليکتمل الموضوع من جميع جوانبه.
 Research Summary:
This research is about scholars of hadith who refrained from telling hadith until their death. This was due to several reasons; some of which are personal such as piety, spending more time in worship, their books being burnt, deteriorating memory or sickness. Some other times the decision to stop is brought on them by others such as envy and being stopped by force from telling hadith. Research demonstrated that those who refrained from telling hadith to find more time for worship did this towards the end of their lives.
 This research is complementary to a previous one about hadith scholars who stopped telling hadith temporarily, in an effort to cover all aspects of the topic..
